Who We Are
Just For Bands, simple band management built by musicians, for musicians.
In 2001, I started a band with a goal to make it the sole career for my life. However, life gets in the way, and keeping track of what's going on in a band can become complex, confusing, and things can fall through the cracks. Booking a gig for my band, for example, I have to keep track of who I contacted, when I contacted them, and when I need to follow up. When you have another person in the band helping with the booking, you both have to keep track of who's been contacted so that you don't step on each other's toes.
Removing the Roadblocks
One day in early 2010, while talking with Koby, he suggested we remove some of the biggest roadblocks so my bandmates and I could get out of each other's way. He suggested it, not only to help my band and I, but to help all bands. Both of us being musicians, having played in bands, and knowing other bands, we were aware of the common problems faced by bands when doing things like booking a gig, tracking merchandise inventory and even handling money. With the idea of breaking down some of the more mundane tasks to their simplest forms, we set out to create applications that would help bands get stuff done without having to worry about configuring a site just to work the way they need to. We wanted to give bands a site that just worked.
Enter Just For Bands...
Just For Bands isn't just about applications that make it easier to manage your music career, but about bringing forth ideas, functionality and more that can help further your music career.
We want to bring to the table the idea of "less is more". We're about taking some of the most basic functions of making a band successful and helping you do those things with such a laser point focus that you're getting more done to further your music and career than ever before.
Managing a music career is really like running a small business and if you don't approach it like that, you'll never make it support you. We hope that we can bring to the table something that will help further you along the way.
